Ahhh - Finally - that was alot of work. So this is a finished
greenwear pin-hole camera. In case you forgot greenwear is only just
what i consider the 1/2 way point.
I thought a final picture was needed to show you what it looks like
with the top put on showing off its new button stopper/shutter.
I will be soooooo excited once i get to glaze this and fix up the
metal piece that i will insert as my pin-hole. Eeeeeeeh - thats my
excited noise.

Now where was i - um, oh yeah i just squeezed a soft bit of clay
into the little hole, then i have a stamp that i made and i press that
it onto my piece of really soft clay until i get a nice impression.
Well - this one is almost all put together. I suppose i would say
this was at the 1/2 way mark. It still must be bisque fired, sanded,
then glazed and the final firing.
Also this little pin-hole camera got a name it's called Blinded By Beauty.

As for now this pin-hole camera i'm working on is name less. So this
is me & i'm working on finishing up another pinhole camera, it took
me a long time to finally decide on how to make the hole for the
shutter (besides for the piece of metal i have to cut later) Anyway i
was trying to think of different ways to cover up the shutter.
So this was my latest idea - to make a small hole and put sorta like
a plug into it. I start off by making the hole, then taking really soft
clay and rolling it between my fingers, then i place that in the hole
and push down...
Well, you receive more directions and pictures of the process
tomorrow. Cheers and enjoy! Maybe by tomorrow this little guy will have
a name as well.

i decided to make my breakfast a bit more interesting by cutting a
little heart out me toast and cooking my egg in that. The plate
featured here is named Walking After Midnight fired at cone 10 with red
shino and lugna glaze. I totally dig the color that is made when these
two overlap which is a dark glittery smokey black with a tiny tint of
purple.

Hi there, its me again this time i'm slip-trailing. This piece which is
not named quite yet was a wheel-thrown form. The clay used here is JBS
which is a nice brown clay, the slip clay that i'm squeezing on with
that little rubber thing (i think its used to clean out babies noses
when they are first born) is porcelain. I am spinning it to make it run
down the pot, which is upside-down. It should be interesting to see
after it's fired b/c the runs will then be going up instead of down
once the piece is right side up ;)

Ok Finally you get a peak at the top of the pin-hole camera and a wee bit of the side of the bottom.
This is a picture right after i have taken it out of that little
rusty bin with a pair of tongs. Its still very hot - oh and before i
forget to tell you - i dropped it! AAAAAAH yes i did, i felt it
slipping out of my tong grip so i got super super close to the ground
so when it finally slipped out of my grip and went TINK onto the hard
pavement i was sooooo hoping it didn't put a crack into it. Yeah - so
after the fall i pick it up once again with the tongs and get it to the
table. Jeez - wiping the sweat from my brow and trying not to be
disappointed that i have probably just put a crack into my lovely
pinhole camera :-(
However, upon further examination on the table - i see to my
surprise that i have been smiled upon by the Gods and Goddess of Clay!
There are no cracks in it at all - YEAH!

Eeeeeeh (thats my excited noise) well the little pin-hole camera is
in the rusty trash bin and i have to wait now. This would be a good
time to have Supermans x-ray vision so you could see the little pot in
there. I have to come back in about an hour and take the lid off to see
if the magic worked :-D
At this point the anticipation is killing me. But i go inside and
slip glaze another piece while i wait. So i don't have to think bout it.

Ok - don't go getting disappointed yet, because its not the finished
pin-hole camera. I feel i should take you thru the process, heck if i
wanted to be super technical i would have started from the very
beginning. However, i was not inspired to start taking and posting
photos unitl my dear friend cabbagehead started posting.
Ok but back to the process. This barrel contains strips of newspaper
that have been shredded by hand, which will be used later as
cumbustables. Its waiting on a good mix of pine needles.

Humm - i guess i should update this a little bit & let you know
what you are seeing is the top of a kiln. Its a hole about 5 or 6
inches in diameter and it has heat coming out of it. It gets so hot it
starts to have a flame come as the kiln heats up after about 2 hours.
So i'm standing on the side of the kiln with the camera above my head
just clicking away to see if i get a good shot. B/c i don't have
anything to stand on. What you see IN THE HOLE that is all red looking
is one of my pinhole cameras named I See You, that i was working on and
its in the kiln being fired up. When its ready you grab it with some
tongs & take it out then its placed into a metal bucket with
combustibles and one hurries up and puts the lid on. Then a bit later
you get to see if your magic worked. This is the first photo of a small
series of photos for this one.

Hi everyone - sorry i can't wave my hands are full. It's me and i'm
working on putting on a textured handle onto my little mug named A
Tisket (it has a match named A Tasket). I was thinking about my mom and
how she would always sing that song at random moments in my life.
I recently made a pink glaze -shhh don't tell me mom yet tho. Its a
surprise since her favorite color is pink, unlike me which my favorite
color is actually green. Anyway i'm thinking ahead (which one should
always do when planning art, although it does not always work out) that
i may glaze these in the pink. I'll have to see tho how it breaks on
texture. Since the handles on these have an interesting patten it would
be a shame to go thru all that work & the glaze not break enough to
show them off.
