Opalescent
I dedicate this photo to John, for it was an idea from him that my
first sake set was born. This set is named Opalescent which is the name
of a CD by Jon Hopkins (lovely ambiance music if you dig that genre)
The names of the shot glasses are Halcyon, Grace, Apparition,
Afterlife, and Elegiac which are all names of songs off of that
particular CD. For my sets i like to sometimes name them after
groupings (not sure if i said that grammatically correct) ~gift
Also my dear friend Kim inspired me ... Continue reading ...
Me and Kitty's Delight
So i decided i needed a break from the vases, don't worry tho i'm sure there will be more in the future. Muhahahaha
This is me and it was one heck of hot sunny day, i decided to have
some water out of my mug named Kitty's Delight and well i'm all
finished the water by the time this photo is taken (after about the
10th time i got up to reset the camera b/c i couldn't find my remote
for the shutter)
I came inside and wasn't tooo crazy about the SUNNY COLOR - it was
just sooooooo bright, however... Continue reading ...
A Flower for Me and One for You.
Here's a set of tumblers - they have no official names inscribed in the bottom as most of my work does.
They are filled with another of those frosty drinks i made earlier - YUM! Continue reading ...
Fantastic
So as i was looking thru my fellow photo friends pictures, i came
across a tasty looking drink, soon after leaving the comment i darted
into the kitchen and decided to make my own. i had a package of carmel
mix in the cabinet (sorta like a hot chocolate mix) anyway i prepared
it using the cold directions and added some ice stuck it in the blender
then found my tumbler named Fantastic, poured it on in. Then i grabbed
the can of whip topping and loaded it up, along with a couple sprinkles
of ci... Continue reading ...
Pretty Pink Piggies
I'm not one to usually paint my nails, however this morning i was
looking down past the hem of my green summer dress & thought huh a
complimenting color of pink would look cute. So i go and get the dusty
box of crazy colored nail polish and sift thru it till i find my
amazing pink, that matches my hair. As i'm sitting at the edge of my
bed painting my toe nails, i notice how my tea cup named Cut Flowers is
sitting there waiting so patiently for me to realize what a darlingly
cute moment of gi... Continue reading ...
The Lovely Bird
The one has had a slight name change once just titled Lovely and now
called The Lovely Bird or The Bird for short. It all happend because if
you see on the side it has a cute little abstract bird that i brushed
on in a split of a jiffy. Its a cup that i usually have my morning cup
of coffee out of. Continue reading ...
Oregano Dash Seven
This started out as a nice little tumbler, however for some reason
this one had a leak. I have examined it and cannot see what could be
causing this leak... so instead of just tossing it, i thought to myself
well it will make a cute little planter. So far what i think is oregano
at least that is what my dad told me it was when he gave me the plant,
loves its' home in this little tumbler. The tumblers name is Dash Seven
and since it the Oregano's home i figure its only fitting to change the
na... Continue reading ...
Hiding Tiger
This is a little mug i made when i had been away from doing my
ceramics for a couple of years. The name of the mug is Tiger... i try
to name all of my ceramic pieces. The name usually reflects what is
going on around me at the time or something that has happened and not
necessarily what the piece looks like.
I think this one got the name Tiger because there was a golf tournament on nearby & i heard the name. Continue reading ...
